Dr. Arlene Parsons, DO

Dr. Parsons grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Her alma maters include Linn-Mar High School and Mount Mercy University. She majored in biology with a minor in chemistry and graduated Summa Cum Laude. She then attended medical school at Des Moines University and earned her DO degree.

Dr. Parsons joined the United States Army in 2009 and served a total of nine years on active duty service. While serving her country, she completed a traditional internship at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, TX. She then completed a second internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX, where she also served as chief resident. After residency, she served at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital in Fort Campbell, KY as staff obstetrician and gynecologist and was chief of the gynecology division.

Dr. Parsons interests include general gynecologic, reproductive, and obstetrical care. She is passionate about helping women achieve their healthcare goals.

Dr. Parsons is married and has one child. They share their home with a Rottweiler, two cats, and a parrot. In her spare time she enjoys family time and travel.
